Summer 2022 Updates From Ambleside Co-Op

8/3/2022

Hello Ambleside Family! We hope you are enjoying your summer break. Our family has been using the time well as we recently returned from an international mission trip in Lima, Peru. (You can check out our video about the trip here). What a fantastic time!

I'm reaching out today to give you some Ambleside updates and ask for your participation. As you know, facilities always need improvement, and ours is no exception. This summer, we've been working on several of these improvements to enhance your student's experience when we start in just over a month.

Making Improvements

A Fresh Coat of Paint

Mrs. Pattie, Mrs. Taya, Mrs. Caitlin, Mr. Oren, and a crew of other generous volunteers have been working through some hot summer days to repaint the walls of our classrooms. They're looking great!

New Desks

We were so blessed to find a middle school auctioning off a lot of 29 desks. We bid and won the auction for only $10! Only problem? They were in Ohio. Well, I'll save the long drama for another time, but God brought together a miraculous string of events to help us transport these desks into our building. These desks might cost over $250 each if purchased new, but we got them all into our facility for under $1K

Tech/Security Upgrades

Picture
One issue that most parents wish they didn't have on their minds is security. We're now replacing our Wi-Fi network, and we will soon place the order for a security camera system to cover the whole building. That way, we can keep all exterior doors locked while school is in session and see what's happening outside without opening any doors.

Don't Fall in a Lake

The last significant upgrade we're working on is in our outside picnic/break area. We know the students love to go outside during their breaks, but we want to ensure their safety around the open water behind our building. Specifically, we'd appreciate it if critters stayed in the creek and students stayed out. We've already purchased materials to build a fence; installation will happen before school begins. We found a very fair price for material and labor, but it will still represent a $2,500 improvement.

Can you help us?

You probably sensed a call to action on the way... Here it is! There are three excellent ways you could help us to Get through these summer months without falling behind.

Generous Donations Accepted

Did you know that you can give tax-deductible donations to support Ambleside? Since our cooperative is a ministry of The Potter's House Church, you can make donations separate from tuition to help us meet our financial obligations. We would greatly appreciate your prayerful support.

Prepay Tuition

This option is a Win-Win. You still have time to prepay your student's tuition. The cutoff date is August 12, but if you pay in advance, we offer a 5% discount for the whole year. That means $150 savings on the standard tuition. This would also help us immensely to ease the financial squeeze of the summer months when we still have obligations but no income. Please contact us today or respond to this message if you would like to take advantage of this offer before the cutoff date

We are so grateful to all of you for your support and trust as we support your responsibility to prepare another generation for faithful obedience to the Master.
